One Crazy Summer...

Man... This summer has been pretty crazy. Like I am feeling like John Cusack. Nothing is going the way I thought it would. This summer was supposed to be relaxing. No boys, no school, no problem. Yup. Not what I had planned... but that's life right? just one big adventure :) 
        In the words of one young Ellie Fredricksen "Adventure is out there!".  

I work as a swim instructor... that should just sum it all up. My kids are great though. I love every single one of them! I definitely found my calling in life. I love seeing the looks on their faces as they swim on their own for the first time. so rewarding :)

 Other than that not much has happened...

 I tend to miss my best friend, Lillie Covington,

 more than anything right now. She has to spend the summer in Utah..

 It's been challenging not having my partner in crime always around.. but that's why I've got Mandy ;)

I have really kind of discovered myself this summer. dramatic much? yes. Here is what I have found out:


1) I really love making up songs to everything I do.
2) I tend to treat inanimate objects like they are people by saying "sorry" as I run into them.
3) I have an addition to water.
4) I need to get out more because I read WAY too many science articles.
5) I am a complete nerd.
6) I make stupid mistakes because I am impulsive. 
7) Those stupid mistakes make GREAT stories.

So far it's not a lot... but I'm sure this list is going to expand once I go back to school. fo sho. dawg. 


But I have finally figured out what I want to do with my life. Who I want to be and where I want to be in 5 years. I have never been so sure of anything before. It's a little scary. This "growing up" thing is challenging... I'm not sure I like it right now.. but I will come along for the ride. It's gotta get exciting sometime :)
